Caution Your Blast Ltd (CYB) is a boutique digital practice focused on new technologies and new ways of working. We are a people-led company and a pre-existing team who loves working together. We care about wellbeing, being part of a team and creating environments where people can be proud of what they do.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join us at a pivotal time for the company. We believe that creating innovative, user-led digital solutions can improve the lives of both users and the organisations who serve them.
Instrumental to this is the ability to build effective and efficient products that make the most of appropriate technologies to help and delight users to get their tasks done. We want clients and users to experience the best of what’s possible using today’s tech so as well as having the technical aptitude, we’ll be looking for a hard worker, keen to be part of a team.
The new Senior Developer will be responsible for the iterative frontend and backend development of Give A Little, our charitable point of donation service, and products therein.
You’ll use your software engineering skills to help us make Give a Little the go-to solution for charities looking for an accessible, reliable, and innovative donation tool whilst drawing on the expertise of your colleagues across research, design, and product, to create features and deliver experiences that delight users and raise the bar in the market.
From £60k to 75k based on experience.
Your skills and experience
We’re looking for skilled practitioners with experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, specifically someone who has knowledge of most (but not necessarily all) of the following:
Modern FE Framework (React, Svelte, Vue.js, etc..)
Relational databases (MySQL)
Any unit testing framework (mocha/jest/lab/junit/etc.)
In addition to the above technical skills, we’d love to work with somebody who can:
rapidly build high-quality, user-centric applications that are fully test-driven
collaborate with teams to develop exceptional products and experiences that are tailored for their intended audience
confidently explain technical concepts and solutions to non-technical people and a range of stakeholders
deliver using the fundamentals of agile methodologies whilst knowing when to flex the approach in order to improve ways of working
experiment with new methods and technologies in a focussed way so that we can always keep one eye on improving the experience of our team and our users
Culture is really important to us, so if you enjoy learning, creating and being part of a proactive member of a welcoming team, then we can be flexible on the above. Also, feel free to challenge us - what are we missing and what should we be using instead?
