Caution Your Blast Ltd (CYB) is a highly regarded digital practice. We're a people-led company and a team who enjoys working together on challenges. We seek to create a work environment where people can be proud of what they do, and have a strong focus on individual wellbeing.
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Developer to join our engineering profession. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions to meet the needs of our clients and their users.
You'll be joining a small, friendly and collaborative team of multi-disciplinary experts across product, research and design, that work with each other each day. This will give you the chance to voice your ideas and provide innovation for product enhancements. You’ll use lightweight agile ceremonies, based on teamwork and communication to find solutions and be adaptive to change.
As a member of the engineering profession, you will collaborate with your colleagues, share learning, exploring ideas in order to advance individually, and as a team to advance our practises. We hold regular roundtables and engineering afternoons that allow us to get together to discuss ideas and try out new tech… (not to mention local eateries when you're in the CYB offices).
From £64,000 to £80,000 based on experience.
Skills and experience
We’re looking for skilled practitioners with experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, specifically someone who has experience with:
Modern FE Framework (e.g. React, Vue.js, we use Svelte)
Any unit testing framework (mocha/jest/lab/junit/etc.)
Relational databases (MySQL)
Our stack also includes the following (although experience with these is not required):
In addition to the above technical skills, we'd love to work with somebody who can:
rapidly build high-quality, user-centric applications that are fully test-driven
collaborate with teams to develop exceptional products and experiences that are tailored for their intended audience
confidently explain technical concepts and solutions to non-technical people and a range of stakeholders
deliver using the fundamentals of agile methodologies whilst knowing when to flex the approach in order to improve ways of working
experiment with new methods and technologies in a focussed way so that we can always keep one eye on improving the experience of our team and our users
Culture is really important to us, so if you enjoy learning, creating and being part of a proactive member of a welcoming team, then we can be flexible on the above. Also, feel free to challenge us - what are we missing and what should we be using instead?

creative thinker willing to try things out and learn from failure
problem solver who falls in love with problems, not their solutions
