About the Senior WebOps Engineer role

In addition to our consulting services, CYB provide a point of donation platform, Give A Little.  This innovative, user-led digital solution is rapidly accelerating in use across the charity sector and we have many opportunities to lead the sector globally as a result. It relies on the ability to build effective and efficient products that make the most of appropriate technologies to help and delight users to seamlessly make donations to our charity clients. We want clients and users to experience the best of what’s possible using today’s tech - so as well as having the technical aptitude, you will be a hard worker, who enjoys being part of a team.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior WebOps Engineer to join our engineering profession. The new Senior WebOps Engineer will be responsible for supporting the deployment and iteration of the digital products and services we design and build for our Give A Little platform as well as with our public sector clients.  You will collaborate with your colleagues in the engineering profession to advance our WebOps practices.

About the skills and mindset the Senior WebOps Engineer will need to thrive

We’re looking for skilled practitioners with experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, specifically someone who has knowledge of most (but not necessarily all) of the following:

Must haves:

  • AWS

  • Terraform

  • Docker

  • CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, CodePipeline, CircleCi)

  • Server hardening best practices

Would be advantageous to have:

  • Relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)

  • NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB, MongoDB)

  • Container monitoring and observability

In addition to the above technical skills, we’d love to work with somebody who can:

  • collaborate with teams to develop and deploy exceptional products and experiences that are tailored for their intended audience

  • confidently explain technical concepts and solutions to non-technical people

  • deliver using the fundamentals of agile methodologies whilst knowing when to flex the approach in order to improve ways of working
