Who we are

I’m interested in using design to navigate and find solutions to complex problems. In my role as a Service Designer at CYB I’m able to exercise these skills while designing valuable public services. I’m responsible for designing the way that users move through these services, ensuring that they are intuitive, inclusive and accessible. I draw on a background in both user research and design, which enables me to dig deep into user needs and behaviours and to translate these insights into visually engaging concepts and prototypes.

I think that it’s crucial to pose difficult questions and view design decisions through a critical lens, in order to understand the implications our designs might have on the environment and society more broadly. This is particularly true for the work we do at CYB, where we’re finding ways to leverage AI and use data as a material in the design process. I’m a big advocate for integrating systems thinking and futures thinking tools throughout the design process as means to answer some of these questions.

Throughout my career so far I’ve had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of research and design projects with organisations including the Welsh Government, the Greater London Authority, the Ministry of Justice, Cartier, Arup, the Carbon Trust and the NHS, to name a few.
